Timeline
Fall 2019:
- Form team, learning-focused semester
- Conduct user research, early design iteration
- Development groundwork
Spring 2020:
- Connect deeply with stakeholders, align product vision
- Make extensive progress on rider mobile & driver mobile designs; begin Admin design work
- Increase development pace
Fall 2020:
- Shore up RR and SDS support for Carriage--having them as our advocates will be essential in Spring ‘21
- Finish development of Rider and Driver Mobile
- Finalize all designs for v1
Spring 2021:
By April 26th:
- Finish development of all v1 features (except for the rider web platform), and prepare a demonstration for the pitch
Begin v2 design explorations and research Carriage is short-staffed on designers, so this has been postponed.
Late April and Early May:
- Pitch Carriage to administration officials in charge of RedRunner, CULift, and SDS procurement, focusing on the following selling-points of adopting Carriage as their scheduling solution:
- Built from the ground up for Cornell’s specific use case with input from actual end-users
- Support from RR and SDS for the product
- Carriage is free, unlike competitors’ solutions
- Accessibility in design has been a focus from Carriage’s inception
